The very first pages you will work on in your bullet journal besides your index pages are the calendar pages. Calendar pages in your journal do not have to be blah.
Here are a few tips and tricks for you to make the most out of calendar pages in your fall bullet journal.
Utilize Your Monthly Calendar
Remember that the monthly calendar in your journal is a very powerful tool. The monthly calendar is used to reference all of your appointments, from deciding on when to plan certain events, to organizing your weekly and daily pages based on responsibilities you have.
Here is a starting point for using the monthly calendar:
1) Fill out birthdays and anniversaries for family and friends first,
2) Next, add in your appointments or events,
3) Keep adding more information as plans are made, and
4) Reference your monthly calendar when filling out weekly and daily pages, and
5) Liven up the look of your calendar pages by adding stickers or decorative drawings.
Here are some inspirational and creative ideas.
Make Your Weekly and Daily Pages Work for You
There are many ways to work with your weekly and daily calendar pages. Even though they take up more space, they are great when you are struggling with productivity and constantly falling behind.
The weekly and daily pages typically have different boxes or lines for use for such things as your daily to-do list, another for appointments or events that you may be attending, and other boxes just for notes and other details like tracking your mood or daily habits.
I like to keep up with what I am reading during the week and my daily tasks. I am obsessed with being able to look back at my calendar pages to see what I have done over the past few months. I want to be able to look back at the end of the year and see that I accomplished a few things.
Here are some creative weekly pages.
Be Creative with Your Designs
When creating your calendar pages, use your imagination. You will want to start with the monthly calendar, then move on to your weekly and daily pages. There is a lot you can do with your designs, both for fall and other seasons.
For fall, good images to draw or stickers to include are fall leaves, trees, pumpkins, feathers, and similar images. These can be sketched, colored, or you can use stencils and other craft supplies.
It can be a lot of fun to decorate your calendar pages, plus this encourages you to use the bullet journal more often.
I do not draw. I use stickers and stencils. I have journaled for years, but the bullet journal is relatively new to me, so I searched Instagram and other sites for inspiration.
I have to say there are quite a few creative people sharing their designs. Have a look!
Using a bullet journal in the fall allows you to embrace the season, stay productive and organized, and really enjoy it.
